I am a retired engineer who has recently tutored a high school boy who had a Math learning disability. He had flunked Algebra 1. I found that he couldn't add fractions or work with negative numbers. He can now work at a basic level with fractions, negative numbers, percentages, proportions, decimals, scientific notation , linear equations and quadratic equations.
I would like to tutor another boy. I contacted our school system but found that the school attorneys are scared of working with or recommending tutors.
I really like to help a boy who is really struggling but is committed to learn . I didn't charge anything but may charge a nominal amount depending on the situation.
Please make a comment if you know how I can find such a student.
