Watercolor 2015 Exhibit Honors Seven Artists
Annual exhibit of original artworks in water-based media on display through April 12 at Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles
St. Charles, March 11 - Seven artists were named winners of Awards of Excellence or Honorable Mention for their contributions to the Watercolor 2015 exhibit, on display at the Norris Cultural Arts Center gallery through April 12.
Awards of Excellence went to Irene Boutzarelos of Addison for her painting, “Tourists Hawaii,” Peg Sindelar of Wheaton for “Oriental III,” and Carole Wilson of Batavia for “See the USA in Your Chevrolet.” Four artists received Honorable Mention: Daniel Danielson of Wheaton for “Rainy Loop,” Fatima Figueiredo of Geneva for “Apples and Hydrangeas,” Gordon France of LaGrange for “Pre-Game Warm Up, Murphy’s Bleachers,” and Patti Linden Seifrid of Batavia for “The Old Timer.”
Encompassing more than 80 original works in water-based media, Watercolor 2015 is open for public viewing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Call 630-584-7200 or visit NorrisCulturalArts.com for more information.
