What's Moving Into The Former Gino's East?

The former Tin Cup Pass Development in town is getting a makeover and at least one new business is planning to move in.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Local residents may have noticed construction happened at the former Tin Cup Pass Development in St. Charles and wondered to themselves, "I wonder what is going in there?" That was the question one reader who posted to the St. Charles Patch boards posed in recent weeks, so we decided to check with the city to get her an answer.

Lisa Garhan, communications division manager for the city of St. Charles, told us part of the construction project is meant to make way for The Southern Cafe, which will be moving into the former Gino's East site in town. We have not been able to get much more information on the business, yet, but check back to St. Charles Patch in the coming weeks for updates.

Meanwhile, the old Western-style facade at the Tin Cup Pass development is getting a makeover after new owners were granted an exterior remodeling permit from the city, Rita Tungare, director of community and economic development in St. Charles, told the Daily Herald in recent weeks. The retail strip will also get a new name, Stone Creek.
