Woman Charged With Reckless Homicide In St. Charles Man’s Death
Dagoberto Rivera, 57, died in the August 2025 collision in Campton Hills.
A 22‑year‑old Elgin woman has been arrested and charged with felony reckless homicide in connection with a car crash that killed a St. Charles man in August 2025, according to court records.
She is accused of driving through a stop sign in Campton Hills and colliding with another vehicle, causing the death of 57‑year‑old Dagoberto Rivera, the Daily Herald is reporting. Camarena also faces charges related to driving with a suspended or revoked license and several traffic offenses.
After her arrest, she was released on pretrial supervision with conditions not to use drugs or alcohol or drive, according to the article. She is next expected in court on April 24.

Rivera worked at Clarios, formerly Johnson Controls, for more than 20 years, according to his obituary. Rivera, a father and grandfather, is being remembered for his kindness, love of cooking and gardening and close family ties.
