Wredling Students Sent Home After Eating Marijuana-Laced Chocolate
School officials said 12 students and one staff member experienced either no effects or mild signs of impairment.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Twelve Wredling Middle School students and one staff member were sent home for school Friday after they ate chocolate that was laced with marijuana, school officials told the Kane County Chronicle.
It's unclear at this point if they knew the chocolate had marijuana in it when they ingested it during the school day on Friday, St. Charles Unit District 303 spokesman Scott Harvey told the newspaper. A school resources officer tested the chocolate and learned it had marijuana in it.
All who ate the chocolate were sent home and experienced either no effects or mild levels of impairment, Harvey said.
