1 Injured In Crash That Shut Down I-80 Lanes Near Harlem
Two eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 were briefly closed Thursday morning in Tinley Park.
TINLEY PARK, IL — At least one person was injured during the early morning rush hour on Thursday when two cars crashed in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park. The crash, reported at 6:45 a.m., may have caused other injuries but none are considered life-threatening, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
An early morning traffic report from WBBM says that the crash took up the center lane. So two lanes were closed for 20 minutes as things cleared up, according to the Sun-Times.
Traffic continued to be slow in the area for a considerable time after.
