10U Blue Wave Fastpitch Takes 1st Place

The 10u Blue Wave Fastpitch team took home the first place trophy at the Game Day USA Mizuno Futures Tourney in Elgin May 15th. The girls finished strongly by beating the Taylor Made Titans in a close battle 9-8 to get to the championship game where they faced the 10U Top Tier Fastpitch team. The Blue Wave won the championship game with a score of 8-4 in six innings. The 10U Blue Wave Team is made up of girls from the surrounding area, including towns like Homer Glen, Frankfort, Orland Park, and Tinley Park. The team is managed by Maggie Jager (New Lenox) and coached by Dawn Murphy (Manhattan) and Jan O'Neal (Frankfort).
