2 Firefighters Hurt While Fighting Fire At Tinley Park Home

A home on Pleasant Avenue in Tinley Park is not inhabitable after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Two firefighters were injured and a home deemed uninhabitable after a house caught fire in Tinley Park early Sunday afternoon. Tinley Park Fire Chief Forest Reeder said the cause of the fire in the 9300 block of Pleasant Avenue had not been determined as of Sunday night.

The firefighters' injuries were minor, Reeder said, and both were treated and released from Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

The Tinley Park Fire Department was helped by a number of other departments after it first responded at 12:51 p.m.
