$2 Million Settlement For Tinley Park Doctor

A judge ruled in favor of Dr. Nicholas Angelopoulos, who sued Keystone Orthopedic Specialists.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park doctor won $2 million from his former business partner after a judge’s decision in the case of an alleged fraud and breach of contract. Dr. Nicholas Angelopoulos won the settlement earlier this month in the courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Robert Dow, according to a Daily Southtown report.

His attorney claimed in a filing that he was cheated out of “hundreds of thousands of dollars” in expenses related to partnering with Keystone Orthopedic Specialists, which is located in Hazel Crest.

Angelopoulos, who had a practice specializing in anesthesiology and pain management in Tinley Park from 2004 to 2007, was told his expenses for the endeavor would be in the range of $250,000 but it turned out they were about four times that amount, the claim included.
