2022 World Wiffle Ball Championship Winner Crowned

The 43rd World Wiffle Ball Championship crowned a repeat Champion at Memorial Park in Midlothian this past weekend. Thanks to four home runs by Garrett Curless, the New Carlisle Newts repeated as Champions with a 9-7 win over Wiffle Dees in the all-Indiana finals.

40 teams from across the country participated in four round-robin games on Saturday, July 16 with qualifying teams advancing to the single-elimination tournament on Sunday, July 17.

The good news for the Chicago Southland is they are tentatively scheduled to return for the 2023 World Wiffle Ball Championship July 15-16 at the same location. For the latest information on the World Wiffle Ball Championship, visit https://worldwiffleball.org/.

Proceeds from the 2022 championship benefitted the South Suburban Humane Society.
