All Saints Lutheran Church spreads joy with ice cream social
Brings sweet treats and smiles to individuals with developmental disabilities at St. Coletta's of Illinois
On February 19, members of All Saints Lutheran Church brought joy to participants at St. Coletta’s of Illinois by hosting a special ice cream social at the organization’s Tinley Park campus.
Volunteers from the church arrived with tubs of ice cream and a variety of delicious toppings—including chocolate, caramel, M&M’s, mint chips, and sprinkles—serving up custom-made sundaes to the delight of St. Coletta’s participants. The event fostered joy, laughter, and a sense of community as participants enjoyed their sweet treats while connecting with church volunteers.
“We are incredibly grateful to All Saints Lutheran Church for their kindness and generosity,” said Heather Benedick, CEO of St. Coletta’s of Illinois. “Our participants had a fantastic time, and these moments of connection make a meaningful impact on their lives.”
