Tinley Park veterans will host a "Fall Festival" beginning on Friday, September 30 through Sunday, Oct. 2.
Tinley Park veterans will host a "Fall Festival” beginning on Friday, September 30 through Sunday October 2nd, 2016 at the Metra Lot on 80th Avenue and 179th Street in Tinley Park. The festival hours are Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 10 PM, and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. This fun-filled, family event is a fundraiser to support local Tinley Park community programs, scholarships as well as the Manteno Veterans' Home.
The festival will consist of carnival rides and food vendors. On Saturday October 1 there will be special honors to all veteran’s at 1:30 p.m., that will feature “ The Veteran’s Garage”, which are historic military vehicles. At 2 p.m. there will be a Veteran’s Memorial Service to all veteran’s that have passed away.
Festival chairman, Santino Lettieri, predicts this festival will bring Tinley Park, as well its neighboring communities, together for a great cause. “We believe residents from all areas will support local veterans. We are planning for a great weekend and hope for warm fall weather,” stated Lettieri.
