TINLEY PARK, IL — Bags—or cornhole, call it this, or call it that—fans are invited to put their toss to the test in downtown Tinley Park on Sunday, May 17.
The Tinley Chamber's Bag Crawl returns for its 11th year, offering players a chance to visit downtown Tinley spots along Oak Park Avenue, throwing bags at each stop to earn points toward cash prizes and other awards.
The bag crawl event originated in 2011, when cornhole surged in popularity, said Tinley Chamber Executive Director Tom McNulty.
What started as a lively community outing has grown into a can’t-miss event that continues to bring together residents, local businesses, and visitors for an afternoon of fun, connection, and friendly competition.
“Our Bag Crawl has taken on a life of its own,” organizers said.
"It’s not just about playing, it’s about reconnecting, meeting new people, and building a sense of community that keeps getting stronger each year."
Attendance has steadily climbed, surpassing 140 participants, and organizers said early interest suggests this year’s event could easily exceed 150 attendees.
