TINLEY PARK, IL — The Flurry Artisan Market returns to Tinley Park on May 24 with revamped branding, expanded artist lineup, and the return of a seasonal favorite beer.
The market is set for Sunday, May 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hailstorm Brewing, 8060 186th St.
Curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance and organized for this event by curator Alissa Harris, the Flurry Artisan Market continues to grow as one of the southwest suburbs’ favorite brewery artisan events—bringing together artists, makers, vintage curators, authors, sweet treat vendors, coffee roasters and more for a full afternoon of community shopping and craft beer.
Discover handcrafted jewelry, cozy apparel, festive décor, plants, art, candles, soaps, coffee, hot sauces, sweet treats, and so much more—all made by talented local artists. The market is free to attend, family-friendly, and welcomes guests of all ages to spend the afternoon shopping local artists, enjoying craft beer and food, and supporting small businesses in a relaxed brewery atmosphere. With both indoor and outdoor vendors planned, patrons can expect one of the largest and most diverse Flurry Artisan Markets to date.
One of the biggest changes patrons will immediately notice is the brand-new event branding created by returning market artist Alex Kujawa. The updated artwork gives the Flurry Artisan Market a bold new identity while keeping the creative spirit patrons have come to expect from the event. Guests are encouraged to share their thoughts about the new branding with the Streetz Artz Alliance through the group’s public Facebook community.
Alongside returning favorites, this spring’s market welcomes several first-time Flurry Artisan Market artists making their debut at Hailstorm Brewing. New vendors include Chunkystarr Creations, JW ProtoWorks, La Rosa Escobedo, Little Wicked Things, Lulu's Sweet Treat Shoppe, Planet Persimmon, Roczilla Records, Sara A. Noë - Author, Photographer, Artist and Vintage Vogue Utopia. These artists bring an exciting range of products including original art, books, stickers, vinyl records, vintage fashion, handmade treats and 3D printed creations.
Returning Streetz Artz Alliance favorites will also be featured throughout the event including Beaver Rub Spice Company, Belonio Doodles, DK Custom Woodwork Co., Ghost Owl Studio, Gigawatt Coffee Roasters, Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods, MasterLink Chainmaille and Special K's BeerCandles. Whether guests are searching for witty illustrations, handcrafted woodworking, chainmaille jewelry or freshly roasted coffee, the market offers a curated mix of talented local small businesses.
From the brewery side, Hailstorm Brewing Co. will celebrate the return of its seasonal favorite Strawberry Summer. According to Alyssa Marquez, taproom manager at Hailstorm Brewing, Strawberry Summer is a Strawberry Lemon Kölsch brewed with strawberry concentrate and lemon peel, delivering a crisp and refreshing flavor profile perfect for spring and summer. The brewery will also feature Forklift Training: Key Lime, a Key Lime Cheesecake Pastry Sour available as part of a $5 beer special throughout the month.
Chef Brian from Hailstorm Brewing recommends the brewery’s Italian Beef Flatbread—a Chicago-inspired dish featuring thin-sliced Italian beef, melted mozzarella and spicy giardiniera served on crispy Roman-style flatbread with au jus for dipping.
Artist Heidi O'Hanley of With Love Soaps shared her excitement about returning to the event.
"I am very excited to be a vendor again for Hailstorm’s Flurry Artisan Market!" O'Hanley said. "Hailstorm is one of my favorite local breweries to visit, and one of my own paintings is displayed on their wall! I will have my handmade soaps available, featuring two new scents, green tea and lemongrass, and my updated ‘Starry Night!’"
Several featured artists will also bring unique experiences and products to the market:
The Flurry Artisan Market remains committed to highlighting local artists and creating accessible community events that support small businesses throughout the Chicagoland area. Several artists donate a portion of their sales to charity groups.
