Tinley Park Woman, 42, Accused Of Islamophobic Assault In Another Suburb

LA GRANGE, IL — A Tinley Park woman faces felony charges after allegedly threatening a Muslim woman in La Grange, Patch reported.

Cherylyn A. Dzendrowski, 42, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one hate crime count in connection with the May 16 incident, La Grange Patch reported.

Dzendrowski reportedly encountered the woman and two men as they were on foot after dinner. Dzendrowski, who was driving, passed the group and "drove toward them in a possible attempt to intimidate them," according to La Grange Patch. She then made an "aggressive" u-turn and returned to yell threats at the woman, according to police..
