TINLEY PARK, IL — Presence of a search and rescue team in Tinley Park on Tuesday is only a drill, Village officials said.
The Tinley Park Fire Department will be participating in mutual aid training on Tuesday, Nov 10 at 17368 68th Ct., near Station 46, officials said Friday.
The Search & Rescue Strike Team will be in the surrounding area from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Signs will be posted.
The search and rescue team is made up of fire departments across Northern Illinois that specialize in locating missing people. The team utilizes drones, K-9s and an ATV in the field when searching for a missing person. The team trains twice a month to ensure members are regularly practicing their skills, officials said.
