Angelo's Fresh Market Opening Soon in Tinley Park
New specialty grocer opening in strip mall on 183rd Street.
You won't want to miss the meatballs from Tinley Park newcomer Angelo's Fresh Market.
The Flossmoor-based market, with its new location coming to 7150 W. 183rd St., "can't seem to keep them in the store," President Carla Bolin said, laughing.
The 1,800-square-foot store is the second location in the Southland.
"We actually were looking for a good trafficked, good parking spot for our second location," Bolin said, "and out of all the locations that popped up, that was the most favorable for our type of store."
Angelo's fresh-cut meat is served in restaurants across the country, Bolin said. Their meat is unlike any that can be found in stores, she stressed, noting that it's all restaurant-quality.
The market features homemade stuffed pastas and sauces, and the only USDA prime grade, dry aged meat case in the Chicagoland area, including Dutch Valley milk fed veal, Duroc pork and Bell and Evans chicken. Other meats include steak burgers, specialty shop sausage, and grass-fed filets and burgers.
The store will also offer artisan cheeses and breads, olive oils (garlic, basil, lemon, four pepper), balsamics (chocolate, fig, spicy strawberry, etc.), homemade Italian desserts and 14 gourmet sandwiches. And be sure to try other crowd favorites: braised short rib, homemade pastas, and bone-in rib eye.
The opening is tentatively set for May 23, but shoppers should check the market's Facebook page for any updates. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
