Annual Golf Event Raises Over $100,000
St. Coletta's of Illinois Foundation raised over $100,000 at the 29th Annual Kennedy Golf Invitational for those with disabilities.

Blue skies and a light breeze on Monday, August 13 helped tee off the 29th Annual Kennedy Golf Invitational at Crystal Tree Golf and Country Club in Orland Park. This event, hosted by the St. Coletta’s of Illinois Foundation, helped raise over $100,000 to support those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The day started with a lunch-time program that featured a parent of one of the students at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. School. She shared a moving personal story of the progress her son has made while attending the therapeutic day program and what a difference it has made in his life as well as hers. The St. Coletta’s Choir ended the afternoon program by singing “Love Can Build a Bridge” and “God Bless America.” With joy and pride in their voices, the choir left their mark on the hearts of all who attended.
This annual event, which started in 1989, has grown in support from a small group of golfers wanting to make a difference, to 120 golfers dedicated to helping make St. Coletta’s mission happen.
