Armed Robbery At Subway In Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL -- Police in Tinley Park were investigating an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in town Monday morning.

Reports indicate the Subway at 17215 Oak Park Ave. in Tinley Park was robbed around 7:20 a.m. Police said in a news release shared by the village of Tinley Park on Facebook that a weapon was "inferred but not displayed."

The suspect, described as a white man wearing a blue hoodie and tan mask, fled the area on foot.

Police say there is "no threat" to the community.
