Assistant Village Manager Resigns; Interim Named
Steve Tilton has left Tinley Park for a position in Texas as 911 communications director will fill in temporarily.
TINLEY PARK, IL -- Tinley Park has hired an interim assistant village manager to fill the position vacated by Steve Tilton, who left to take a job as an assistant city manager in McKinney, Texas.
Pat Carr, the village’s Emergency Management Agency and 911 Communications Director, will fill the assistant village manager role on an interim basis according to a news release posted on the village website. Carr will be officially named to the role during the Village Board meeting on Tuesday, May 16.
According to the news release, Carr is a retired Air Force Major having served for 23 years. His business experience includes serving as the founder and president of AvTurf LLC, where he invented and received eight patents for marketing, safety and erosion-control problems.

Tilton served as assistant city manager in Tinley Park for 11 years according to his LinkedIn profile.
