Detective told judge the bar owner let the employee use her apartment when she went on vacation.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A Tinley Park bar owner who let an employee stay in her apartment while she went on vacation came home to find some of her jewelry missing, police said.
Tinley Park police were in court this week seeking an arrest warrant for Erich Krieger on theft charges. The detective said the bar owner left for vacation on Feb. 8 and allowed Krieger to stay in her apartment over the bar in the 17300 block of Oak Park Avenue.
When the bar owner returned, she discovered several pieces of jewelry missing. The detective told the judge he checked a pawn shop list and discovered that the jewelry items had been sold to pawn shop in Oak Forest.

Pawn shop employees were able to identify Krieger as pawning the jewelry at their shop on Feb. 10, the detective said. Krieger was allegedly picked out of a photo array. There was also a copy made of his Indiana driver’s license.
The jewelry was sold for $1,020. The detective said that Krieger’s Facebook page indicated he was at a drug treatment center. The judge issued a $10,000 arrest warrant.
