Bears Fumble Twitter Feed, Congratulate Wrong Josh Bellamy
This weekend's social media screw-up isn't the first time the team has misidentified its own players.

Maybe the Bears should run their front office staff through drills during the preseason the same way they do players.
For instance, team employees who handle social media could do two-a-days to make sure they know players’ Twitter names. That way, they can avoid embarrassing instances like the one that happened this weekend.
During the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Aug. 22, the Chicago Bears Twitter feed celebrated a touchdown pass caught by wide receiver Josh Bellamy.

Unfortunately, the post tagged a Josh Bellamy who lives in England, and not the Bears receiver, who doesn’t have a Twitter account, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. English Josh Bellamy, however, has taken the inadvertent attention in stride, changing his bio to say he’s a “semi-retired football player” for the Bears. Although if he lives in the United Kingdom, does that mean he thinks the Bears are a soccer team?
Well, off to bed. Unsure what I’ll wake up as tomorrow. Woke up today having scored a winning touchdown for the @ChicagoBears - what’s next?

Given my impressive performance I was wondering - @ChicagoBears, is there a spare Bellamy shirt I could have at all?

Sadly, this isn’t the first time the Bears have misidentified a player. In 2013, defensive end Shea McClellin was given a throwback jersey that misspelled his name “McCellin.”
Throwback jerseys, great idea unless your name is Shea McCellin, sorry McClellin! @CecilMartin1 @neilreynoldsnfl pic.twitter.com/qhbwcawCUJ

But that doesn’t even compare to the egregious sin Soldier Field concessionaires committed earlier that same year when they couldn’t even get Da Coach’s name right.
oops. Bad Dikta RT @teammktgreport: How do you misspell Ditka at Soldier Field? (H/t @jpomorantz and @jpderose) pic.twitter.com/S12lRBEqP3
