Thousands Flock To Oak Park Avenue For Tinley Park Irish Parade 2026: PHOTOS
A perfectly pleasant day drew a packed crowd out to Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park Sunday, March 8.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Thousands lined Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park Sunday, March 8 for a picture-perfect—if not a little windy— parade day.
Sunny skies and spring-ish temps had the crowd smiling and eager to enjoy the nearly two-hour, 80-entry parade lineup.
The parade traveled from 179th Street north to the Subway parking lot at 172nd and Oak Park Avenue. In recognition of their service to the United States, and celebration of the country's 250th birthday, members of V.F.W. Post 2791 and the Tinley Park Veterans Commission led the parade. Also featured were American Legion Post 615 and the U.S.S. Chicago Base Submarine Veterans.
