Body Found Outside Tinley Apartment Building Saturday

Tinley Park police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found outside an apartment complex Saturday in Tinley Park.

Thomas Ebner, 53, of the 6600 block of Oak Forest Avenue, was found lying on the ground near his residence, unresponsive with no signs of life when police arrived, said Tinley Park Police Chief Steve Neubauer. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:42 a.m.

An autopsy has been completed, and ruling on cause/manner of death is pending additional test results, said Frank Shuftan, public information officer for the Cook County Bureau of Administration.

Neubauer said rumors of a shooting were unfounded.
