It was a difficult decision after pouring our hearts into building a creative space for families, children, artists, and neighbors to gather, create, and connect. But something beautiful happened. Our community showed up. Through encouragement, continued bookings, kind words, and steady support, we were reminded why Mucci World exists in the first place — not just as a business, but as a place of joy, creativity, and togetherness. Curtain Call Theatre

Curtain Call Theatre is delighted to announce its upcoming production of ‘The Curious Savage’ by John Patrick, a witty and deeply moving comedy that has charmed audiences for decades with its humor, heart, and surprising insight into human nature.
Running June 12–14 and June 19–21, 2026, this beloved play invites audiences into The Cloisters, a sanatorium filled with residents who may not be as “mad” as the outside world believes, and perhaps more honest than those deemed “sane.” Curtain Call’s production will be directed by Matt Carey and assistant directed by Kathleen Carlson.
At the center of the story is Ethel P. Savage, a recently widowed millionaire who has chosen to use her fortune to help others pursue their dreams. When her scheming stepchildren — driven by greed and social status — have her committed in an attempt to seize her wealth, Ethel finds unexpected friendship, loyalty, and clarity among her fellow residents.
What unfolds is a comedic yet poignant exploration of kindness versus cruelty, imagination versus conformity, and the blurred line between sanity and madness. As the residents rally around Ethel, the play cleverly lampoons societal norms while celebrating empathy, individuality, and the courage to live authentically.
Originally premiering on Broadway in 1950 at the Martin Beck Theatre, starring Lillian Gish, ‘The Curious Savage’ remains a timeless piece that resonates just as strongly today.
