Car Wash Employee Takes Customer's Mercedes for Joyride: Police
Man was employed at Tinley Park car wash for only a couple of months after being out on parole, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that an employee of a Tinley Park car wash stole a customer’s Mercedes and took it for a joyride.
Mark Dziedzic, 30, appeared before Cook County Associate Judge John Hynes, where he was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

According to the charges, Dziedzic was a two-month employee at Park Hills Car Wash, 9401 171st St., Tinley Park.
Prosecutors said that Dziedzic was off duty when he took a customer’s Mercedes and drove off. Police used GPS tracking to locate the car. Dziedzic was found with the vehicle, but it was not clear if he was driving at the time, according to court records.

Dziedzic is currently out on parole for aggravated battery to a police officer, Illinois Department of Corrections records indicate.
Prosecutors filed a violation of parole. Dziedzic’s bail for the stolen vehicle charge was set at $200,000.
Dziedzic is due back in court Oct. 7 in Bridgeview.
