Cars Stolen From Tinley Dealerships, Man Charged
Tinley Park police say a man stole a key fob and then new cars from Bettenhausen and International Imports over a three-month period.

TINLEY PARK, IL - A Northwest Indiana man has been accused of stealing cars from two dealerships in Tinley Park. Tinley Park police charged Sherrod Hampton, 31, of Gary, Indiana with felony theft on Dec 8, according to a news release from the village.
Police say Hampton entered Bettenhausen Motors at 8355 W. 159th St. on Sept. 28 and stole a key fob for a 2017 Jeep. He is also accused of stealing a 2017 Volvo on Oct. 13 from the parking lot at International Imports, 8031 W. 159th St. and a 2018 Dodge Charger on Nov. 27 from Bettenhausen.
