Central Middle School on Brief Lockdown Following Scare over 'Illegal Substances'
The lockdown was issued while administration searched the school.

Central Middle School in Tinley Park was placed on a hard lockdown Friday afternoon after reports of illegal substances potentially being distributed in the building.
The lockdown was called at 2:50 p.m., and student dismissal was delayed while administration searched the building. Students and staff were instructed to stay inside their classrooms.
“After determining the students and staff were in no immediate danger and the situation had been controlled, administrators lifted the hard lockdown just after 3 p.m.,” Principal Randy Fortin said in an email to parents.
