CMS Teacher Named Assistant Principal
The sixth grade teacher will start in her new position on July 1

Sixth grade math and science teacher Rebecca Ferrebee has been named as the new Assistant Principal at Central Middle School. The Board of Education ratified her contract at Monday’s meeting.
Ferrebee has been teaching at Central since 2016. She obtained her master’s degree in educational administration from Governor’s State university in 2020 and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois.
“We are very excited to have Rebecca join the administrative team at Central,” said Dr. Jeff Stawick, District 146 Superintendent. “She has a great passion for teaching, and I know she will bring the same enthusiasm to her new role. I look forward to the new ideas and perspectives she will bring to the team.”

While at Central, Ferrebee has been dedicated to building positive relationships. She works with staff and students to foster a learning environment where everyone is set up for success.
“I want to thank Dr. Stawick and the CMS team for giving me this opportunity,” said Ferrebee. “I’m fortunate to have made so many connections with staff, students, and parents over the last six years at Central, and I look forward to growing those partnerships in this new role.”

Ferrebee lives in Orland Park with her husband, Eric, and their two dogs, Luna and Fred. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing her French horn, and spending time with her family and friends.
Community Consolidated School District 146 is comprised of Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
