Concerned Citizens of Tinley Park Announce Trustee Slate
John W. McGuire, Michael J. Pannitto and John A. Curran are running for trustee on the Concerned Citizens of Tinley Park slate.

TINLEY PARK, IL — John W. McGuire, Michael J. Pannitto and John A. Curran are running for Tinley Park trustee on the Concerned Citizens of Tinley Park slate in the April election, the party announced Tuesday.
Sitting trustee Brian Younker is not seeking reelection. Curran, who is the party's chairman, appointed McGuire to run in his place.
McGuire is a retired executive for the Chicago Transit Authority who now operates a paratransit company for people with developmental disabilities and for senior citizens. He has lived in Tinley Park for 15 years, and has volunteered with the Victor J. Andrew Booster club.

Pannitto, a practicing attorney, also has served as a probation officer, park district commissioner and trustee. According to a news release, he has advocated for growth and economic development and for preservation of village institutions. Pannitto has been involved with the building of Bettenhausen Recreation Center, White Water Canyon Water Park, Freedom Park, Tinley Fitness and other projects.
Curran, a 28-year Tinley resident, has served as the executive director of the village's park district. He retired from his 21-year role there in 2017. Curran has significantly expanded and maintained Tinley's parks and facilities, the party's statement said.
