Cracker Barrel Shutters Matteson Location

The Matteson Cracker Barrel location has closed permanently as of Sunday, Oct. 11.

“Cracker Barrel has been a staple in Matteson for over 20 years, and we are disappointed in their decision to leave, despite our efforts to keep them in the community,” Village staff wrote on their Facebook page.

The Village had been in talks with the franchise to keep it operating at its location at 1020 Matteson Av, (I-57 & Route 30), but on Oct. 11 restaurant employees received an email from corporate informing them of the restaurant’s closing.

“Cracker Barrel will be sharing their future plans with the Village in regards to marketing and future plans of the site,” the Village wrote.
