D146 Board Sings Praises of Central Musicians

Fifteen CMS students were recognized by the Board of Education for being selected to participate in the ILMEA Music Festival.

Fifteen Central Middle School students were recognized at the December District 146 Board of Education meeting for their musical talents. The students were all selected to be a part of the Illinois Music Education Association’s (ILMEA) Music Festival.

In September, students auditioned for a chance to be a part of the ILMEA Music Festival Junior Chorus and Junior Band. Students auditioned with many students from other ILMEA District 1 schools from the Cook County Area.

Billy Wilson, a Tenor in the CMS Choir, was selected for the Junior Chorus.
