Dolley Madison at Creative Cakes

Give the gift of food, drinks, dessert, and an historical performance!
Event Date: Wednesday January 21st, from 6pm to 8pm

If you’re looking for a great unique gift, or a treat for yourself, our upcoming event will be perfect for you! Actress Debra Ann Miller will portray Dolley Madison, giving a detailed account of the life of this important First Lady. Ms. Miller will give a theater-style performance, moving throughout our café space, and engaging with her audience. Following her performance, she will open the floor to Q & A about Dolley Madison’s personal history.

As for food and drinks, we’ll be holding a cocktail hour before the performance begins, with a variety of hot and cold appetizers*! Drinks will include iced tea, coffee, and hot tea. Appetizers will include the following:

• Strawberry and Brie Crostini
• Grilled Vegetable Platter
• Roasted Tomato Caprese Skewer
• Poached Pear and Bleu Cheese Bites
• Grilled Vegetable Flatbread
• Caramelized Onion and Apple Tarts
• Cucumber and Quinoa Cups
• Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese
• Prosciutto Wrapped Melon
• Fruit Skewers

Following Ms. Miller’s performance, we’ll serve a lovely variety of desserts that Dolley Madison herself would approve of, including a variety of torte slices and cookies!

Tickets for the performance and food are $40. Beer and wine can be purchased separately with drink tickets. Each drink ticket will include two adult beverages of your choice for $10. Drink tickets will be limited to two tickets per person.
