Flurry Artisan Market Returns To Tinley Park Brewery
The artisan market is back at Hailstorm Brewing on Sunday, Sept. 6.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Fall might not have arrived yet, but the Flurry Artisan Market is getting a head start on the season at Hailstorm Brewing Co. on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Curated by Alissa Harris of Cats, Crafts & Cooking and the Streetz Artz Alliance, Flurry brings together more than 30 local artists, makers, vintage vendors and small businesses for a free afternoon of shopping, craft beer and community.
The market will take over the back portion of Hailstorm Brewing, indoor taproom as well as outdoor areas, leaving plenty of room for patrons to grab a beer, relax and explore.

The event is scheduled for both indoors and outdoors and will happen rain or shine. In the event of rain, high winds or dangerous heat, the market will move entirely indoors.
The September lineup has a definite hint of fall to it. Shoppers can browse handcrafted jewelry, original artwork, apparel, plants, seasonal décor, candles, soaps, coffee, hot sauces, baked goods, vintage finds, books, gaming items and plenty of things that don't fit neatly into any one category.

There are also some particularly fun additions to this month's Flurry, organizers said.
Friday Flannels creates one-of-a-kind upcycled flannel shirts using thrifted and secondhand garments, giving each piece a second life with designs ranging from music and sports to universities, positive messages and pop culture.
Hex & Crust will bring its "bewitchingly good" pies, including slices, mini pies and pies on a stick, while GLPWORKS will feature nature-inspired original watercolor artwork along with magnets, note cards and other items featuring the artist's work.
Comic and graphic novel fans can meet award-winning writer and illustrator Dan Dougherty, creator of Beardo and Touching Evil and author of the children's book A Thousand No's. Becky Blue Designs will bring quirky, nerdy and nostalgia-inspired illustrations, while Crafty Creations will feature layered shadowbox décor inspired by plants, animals and the seasons.
Newer additions include audi hart creations with handmade fiber arts ranging from knit beanies and crocheted blankets to dice pouches and skull doilies, and Ahimsa on Earth, which creates handmade goods using repurposed, upcycled and found materials whenever possible.
That's really what Flurry is built around. It isn't one specific type of market. You can walk in looking for a piece of artwork and leave with a pie, a flannel, a book, a plant and something completely unexpected.
Admission to the Flurry Artisan Market is free. Free parking is available onsite and on nearby streets.
