A Frankfort man has been arrested in connection with two muggings in Tinley Park.
Thomas J. Clark, 39, of Frankfort, was arrested May 3 on two counts of robbery after he allegedly stole a wallet from a man April 26 in the parking lot of Target at 191st Street and Harlem Avenue, and a purse from a woman April 27 in the 17200 block of West 71st Court.

Tinley Park police said Clark wasn’t armed in either incident.
“I applaud the men and women of the Tinley Park Police Department for their quick response to this incident,” Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki said. “This is just another example of the fine, exemplary work they do every day to ensure the safety of Tinley Park residents.”

Clark was arrested with the assistance of the New Lenox and Harvey police departments, police said. In addition to the two counts of robbery, Clark also was arrested for a parole violation and for aggravated identity theft stemming from an incident that occurred in New Lenox, police said.
Clark will be transported to the Cook County Jail for a bond hearing.
