Free English and Computer Classes offered by District 146
District 146, in partnership with Governors State University, will offer adult community members free English Language and Computer classes.

District 146 is once again offering free adult English language classes to community members. This year, classes will also include lessons on email, internet searches, and Google Drive. The District is partnering with Governors State University to provide these virtual classes.
Three courses will be offered: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, or Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. Each participant will receive a Chromebook and study materials to be used throughout the classes.
Registration and pretesting will be held by appointment only throughout the month of September. Registration and pretesting will occur at the District Administration Center, 6611 W. 171st Street in Tinley Park. Prospective students may schedule an appointment by contacting Brooke Dundas at (708) 614-4545.

The English language classes are paid for using funds from the District’s Federal ESL grants.
