Free Genealogy Program:Here Come the Doughboys: Tracing your World War 1 Military Ancestors

There's great news for everyone searching for their American WWI military ancestors. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the entry of the United States into World War I, the Matteson Area Public Library is hosting "Here Come the Doughboys : Tracing Your WWI Military Ancestors" on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This FREE genealogy program will include topics on how to acquire military records, record availability and resources, nursing and volunteer records, archival research, and much more.

In person and online participation in the program is free, however in-person attendee space is limited to 60 participants in Meeting Room A. Due to the popularity of this event, walk-in registration may not be available. Reserve your space in the program online at MAPLD.org or call the Matteson Area Public Library Reference Desk at (708)748-4431. The Matteson Area Public Library is located at 801 School Ave in Matteson Il 60443. We are at the corner of 207th St and School.
