Gunshot Investigation in Tinley Park Comes Up Empty
Three students told police they heard a single gunshot while waiting for the school bus Friday morning near Tullamore Drive and Carrick Way.
TINLEY PARK, IL - Police in Tinley Park investigated a report of a single gunshot fired near three students who were waiting to take the bus to school Friday morning.
According to a memo from the Village of Tinley Park, police responded to Tullamore Drive and Carrick Way around 8:20 a.m. and checked the area, but were unable to locate the source of the reported gunfire.
A check of the nearby Mokena Industrial Park also came up empty.

Some people in the area told police what they heard was a firecracker, others said they heard nothing and a few said they heard something but did not know what the sound was.
