High School Postseason HQ: L-W North Out of Sectionals in Baseball, Softball
Plus, Tinley Park gets ready for its softball sectional championship against LaSalle-Peru on Saturday, and L-W North heads to the state volleyball tournament Friday.
It's postseason time for high school spring sports, and we want to keep you updated on the progress of our local student-athletes. Here's a quick and easy way to track the teams for Andrew, Tinley Park and Lincoln-Way North high schools.

Baseball
- L-W North: The Phoenix was shut out by L-W East, 5-0, in the sectional semifinal Wednesday, May 29, at Providence Catholic.
Softball
- Tinley Park: The Titans face LaSalle-Peru in the sectional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Coal City.
- L-W North: The Phoenix lost to Central, 5-4, in the sectional semifinal Wednesday, May 29, at L-W East. (The game was rescheduled from Tuesday because of rain.)
Volleyball (Boys)
- L-W North: The Phoenix will play Minooka in the state quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Hoffman Estates.
