Home Invasion Reported in Tinley Park

Police say three men - one armed - entered a home on Harper Road Wednesday evening.

TINLEY PARK, IL - Police in Tinley Park are investigating a home invasion that occurred Wednesday evening at a residence in the 17800 block of Harper Road.

Three men in dark clothing entered the home through an unlocked garage service door but fled prior to the arrival of police, according to a news release from the village of Tinley Park.

One of the men was armed, but no one was injured in the incident that was first heard on scanner traffic around 5:45 p.m.

A local parent reported seeing “police everywhere” just after 6 p.m. while his children were attending a CCD class at St. Stevens Church nearby.

Police say they have ended their search without finding any suspects.

“No one is in danger,” the release stated.
