Homeowners Displaced After Fire In Tinley Park

A home on 167th Street in Tinley Park was not safe for investigators to enter after the fire was put out Friday night.

TINLEY PARK, IL - A Tinley Park home in uninhabitable after a fire broke out Friday night.

Tinley Park firefighters responded to a residence in the 5600 block of West 167th Street at 11:24 p.m. and battled a blaze that had engulfed the entire structure. No one was injured, but the home was left uninhabitable due to the fire, Tinley Park Fire Chief Forest Reeder said on Saturday.

The family who live at the home were not home at the time of the fire, but arrived on the scene while firefighting operations were taking place.

There has been no cause determined as of Saturday. Reeder said the structure was "unsafe to enter" by the fire department's investigations team even after it was put.
