Intro to Music Classes for 3 1/2 -7 Years Old

What is the best way to start the successful study of music?

“Long term commitment to music involves so many ingredients including passion for music: both playing and listening to music, family enjoyment and encouragement, and a sense of curiosity, perseverance, and joy through the process.” said Janet Kuester, director of The Music Connection.

“For many of our best music students, it seems that many of them “knew” already that they loved music and wanted to make music.” she continued. “Often their parents will come to us saying: “I know my child is musical already. “ “

“Other students who blossom come because Mom or Dad have decided that a music education and proficiency on a musical instrument is something they want their child to have.”

So both groups of students and parents really love the class “Intro to Suzuki”.

The class meets for 4-45 minute sessions. Parents and children meet together. Over the 4 weeks four instruments are viewed: piano, violin, cello and guitar. There are activities involving each of the instruments. Students also experience pre-reading activities with rhythm, ear training, and note-reading which help parents understand the Suzuki method of talent education used to teach the young child to play music.
