July 4th 2022: Find Fireworks Near Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Tinley Park:

What: Fourth of July fireworks, concert and cookout.

• Event organizers said the annual celebration will also include a 5K, mini-golf, face painting, food trucks and live music.

When: July 4, starting at 4 p.m.
Where: McCarthy Park, 16801 S. 80th Ave.
The Stars and Stripes 5K race kicks off at 8 a.m., and Tinley Junction Mini-Golf & Batting Cages are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Food trucks will be open from 4 to 9 p.m.:

• Jeanie B! entertains the kids 4:15 – 5:30 pm
• Peter Oprisko performs American standards by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and more 4:30 – 5:15 pm and 5:30 to 6:15 pm
• Bruce Korosa’s Polka Band 6:30 – 9 pm
• Headliner Mellencougar takes the main stage from 6 to 9:15 pm. featuring the music of John Mellencamp and classic rock from the 70s and 80s.
