'The Lovers Market' To Feature 3 Dozen Artists, Makers At Tinley Park Brewery

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Streetz Artz Alliance returns to Tinley Park on Saturday, Feb. 7, with a sweetly themed, curated market featuring local favorites and newer artists making their debut.

Soundgrowler Brewing, 8201 183rd St Suite P, will host "The Lovers Market," a Valentine's Day-themed market. It's set for 12 to 5 p.m., and will be completely indoors, with the brewery opening up the brewing area to allow for more artists inside.

Curated by Alissa Harris of the Streetz Artz Alliance, this event features favorites like Belonio Doodles, Grandma Dan's Bakery, KP's Candy Factory, LIbby McArthur Arts, Masterclass Sweet & Savory, Gigawatt Coffee Roasters, DK Custom Woodwork and Special K's BeerCandles.

"Actually, the event has a star-studded lineup with include many of the alliance favorites that patrons come from all over to support, " said John E. Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance. "I'm sad I won't be there for this one and also very thankful Alissa Harris agreed to run this one for me."

Patrons are invited to explore the brewery offerings including delicious tacos, burritos and other food items and a stacked tap list including Tortilla Hands, Orange Haze and many other options. Non-Alcholic options include Draft root beer, hop water, Coca-Cola and Jarritos of different flavors (Mandarin and Fruit Punch). Note that some offerings aren't available during the market, but the staff can advise specifics when ordering.

Some of the artists that are brand new to this venue include Black Creek Outpost, Cin's Crafty Creations, Custom Dice by Alyssa, EE Hornburg Books, Ellieanne Creations, Ember & Ivory Candle Company, Flowering Fields Designs, Good Spirits Vintage, Hex & Crust, Mad Apple Creative, Pigeon Brain Studios LLC, Spicy Grrrls Hot Sauce, the Silicone Syndicate. The artists will feature handmade jewelry, handmade resin dice, candles, bookmarks, totes, ceramics, an author and decor items, to name just a few.

One of the artists, Hex & Crust, is a local Frankfort artist that specializes in Crafting pies with a pinch of magic. Many are decorated with the right level of frosting to provide a feel of creepy, monster or cacti. The artist will be revealing some of their spellbinding slices at this event before Valentine's Day.
