Drones, K9s Called In To Search For Missing Man, 66: Tinley PD

The man left his home on foot just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police and multiple agencies continue to search for a man missing since early Wednesday morning.

Drones and K9 officers have been deployed in the search, police said late Wednesday afternoon. The man, 66, left his home at 167th and Oak Forest Avenue Wednesday at 4:55 a.m.

He was last seen on foot wearing a dark-colored coat, pajama shorts and shoes, police said. He is known to frequent forest preserves and trails in the area, police said.

Tinley Park police and fire, Illinois Search and Rescue, the Cook County Sheriff's Police and the Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency are working together on the search. It was not known Wednesday afternoon if the man suffers from any condition that places him in danger.
