TINLEY PARK, IL — Authorities issued an alert Sunday afternoon warning the public that officers were searching for a suspect who fled authorities, first in a stolen vehicle and then on foot.
The search was unfolding in the area of 163rd Place and Ridgeland Avenue, according to the alert, issued around 3:30 p.m. by Village of Tinley Park Public Safety.
The suspect — a male wearing a black hoodie and face mask — fled police in the stolen vehicle before taking off on foot towards a wooded area, authorities said. The intersection where the search is concentrated abuts a wooded area near the George W. Dunne National Golf Course.
