Though children can certainly enjoy music at home, it is so much fun to go to music class sing, dance, and meet other children and their families from the Frankfort and nearby communities.
During the Month of March, The Music Connection will offer free early childhood classes using the Music in the Box curriculum for children ages 0-5 and their parents.

Some of the Music Connection Music in the Box classes for ages 0-5 will be taught by newest faculty member, Sue Myers. Though new to the Music Connection, Mrs. Myers, is an experienced and skilled music educator:
“Having taught music to students of all ages, for me early childhood music education is the most exciting and rewarding, especially classes involving parents. Babies are inherently musical-they sing before they speak, and react to music by bouncing, dancing and clapping joyfully, without inhibition. The activities in Music in the Box not only prepare children for further musical study, they also help develop early literacy skills like language development, listening, motor skills, as well as social skills. It’s fun to watch the interaction between the children and their parents as they learn those skills. During class, I like to think I’m not only teaching the children, but I’m helping guide the parents, the child’s first teacher”.
