Meet the Chicago Wolves' Jake Bischoff at the Tinley Park Library
Bischoff to visit Tinley Park and Chicago Ridge libraries on Tuesday, Feb. 6, as part of the Chicago Wolves' Read to Succeed program.

Chicago Wolves defenseman Jake Bischoff visits Tinley Park Public Library at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, as part of the Read to Succeed program, presented by Butternut and J.U.L.I.E. Call 811. Bischoff also will visit the Chicago Ridge Public Library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Bischoff, a native of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, is in his full first year as a professional. Prior to joining the Wolves, he spent four years at the University of Minnesota. In addition to winning the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year award, Bischoff earned Minnesota’s John Mayasich Outstanding Student-Athlete Award.
This is the 23rd year of the Wolves’ Read to Succeed program. All families are welcome to take part in these free visits that have involved more than 500,000 children since 1995.

The Read to Succeed program highlights the importance of recreational reading and encourages children to take advantage of all the services libraries provide. Wolves players emphasize the benefits of reading beyond normal classroom activity and explain the ways they continue to benefit from recreational reading as professional athletes.
Read to Succeed participants can win prizes -- including Wolves tickets and knit hats -- for setting and achieving reading goals in conjunction with their local library.
