Noonan Academy's 8th Grade Boys' Basketball Team Wins 1st Place in St. Mary's Titan Tournament

Noonan Elementary Academy in Mokena recently honored its’ students at their annual Athletic Banquet. By offering an instructional as well as competitive program with girls’ basketball, boys’ basketball and girls’ volleyball options to all of their fourth through eighth grade students, Noonan’s student athletes learn the fundamentals of the sport and are given the opportunity to develop strong, healthy, disciplined minds and bodies. Noonan strives to develop their student athletes’ sense of leadership, healthy living habits, self discipline, integrity, teamwork, and ability to participate with dignity and grace.
This was not only showcased by all of their student athletes this year, but in particular highlighted by their 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team who took 1st place at the St. Mary Titan Tournament. The 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team consists of Dominic Conover (Tinley Park), Ethan Drong (Lockport), Gabe Fewkes (New Lenox), Blaine Gorman (Frankfort), Blake Gorman (Frankfort), Marcus Gualandri (Mokena), Matthew Herman (Frankfort) and John McGuire (Frankfort), with Coach Lockwood and Coach McGuire.
