Old Man Angry About Able-Bodied Driver Parking in Handicapped Spots: Cops

The old man reportedly told police "he always has issues with people parking in handicapped spots (when they) are not handicapped."

A parking scofflaw threatened an old man who called him out for taking up two handicapped spots, police said.

The 62-year-old had gone over to the Skillet House on 80th Avenue and “wanted to park in the handicapped parking space due to his use of a cane and multiple knee surgeries,” police said, but a sport utility vehicle was parked horizontally across the only two in the lot.

On his way out of the restaurant, the man told the scofflaw something along the lines of, “You gotta be pretty ignorant to take up both handicapped parking spaces,” police said, to which the younger man responded, “Excuse my language but shut the f--- up or I’ll kick your handicapped ass,” or words to that effect.
